Lady Broncos lose in subdistrict final

The Mullen Lady Broncos took on the Arthur County Wolves in their first round of subdistricts on Tuesday, Feb. 15 in Thedford and pulled out a win to continue their season. Senior Shelby Welsh led the team in scoring with 22 points along with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

Paxton is State Wrestling Champion, team places 2nd, Broncos bring home 4 other individual medals

The Mullen Broncos traveled to Omaha on Wednesday, Feb. 16 and prepared themselves for the long, hard tournament that is State. The Mullen wrestlers took 2nd place as a team with 93 points, being beaten only by Sutherland’s 141 points. Winside placed 3rd with 92 points.

9 wrestlers are State bound!

Mullen traveled to Bridgeport on Friday, Feb. 11 to begin the first day of the two day districts. The Mullen wrestlers took 2nd place as a team, being beaten only by Sutherland.

Broncos finish regular season with 15-8 record

by Samuel Coble, MHS senior On Feb. 8 the Mullen Broncos took on the Sandhills/ Thedford Knights at home in a rivalrous game. The Broncos started the night with an early lead over the Knights, scoring 16 points in the first quarter compared to the Knight’s 6.

by Samuel Coble, MHS senior On Feb. 1, 2022, the D2 Mullen Broncos took on the C2 Hershey Panthers. After a close game, and an overtime, the Panthers defeated the Broncos at home.
